Ketchawa Ranch bed and breakfast was handcrafted in the 1980's by Les Browning. The 2 bedroom, 2 bath property is nestled on Chapparal Road, just seven miles outside of La Grange, Texas on a completely secluded 6 wooded acres filled with a forest of native Post Oak and Cedar trees. It's 1500 square feet are handsomely decorated with ecclectic Indian, African and Peruvian accessories.

The exterior and roof of Ketchawa is all constructed from commercial grade industrial metal. The interior boasts and open floor plan with expansive 24 foot ceillings, recessed lighting, saltillo tile floors, sliding glass doors, a black iron spiral staircase that leads to the upstairs loft office that overlooks the living area. The kitchen is equipped with the finest of modern amenities - all stainless steel appliances for your convenience. There is a fully-functional portable island. A refrigerator, sink, dishwasher, and microwave are available. The Master bedroom has a shower with tile throughout. The guest bedroom has a shower/tub combo.

The gorgeous walls and cabinets were lovingly made from local Fayette County Cedar and have a beautiful scent of nature. Outdoors you can relax on a covered deck while lounging on the outdoor furniture. There is a gate that can be locked to further protect your privacy. Enjoy a delightful soak in the hot tub, fashioned out of an all-metal enclosed washhouse. Let the glorious sunshine beam through the antique turn-crank casement windows. Take in the peaceful scenery and animals in a nature hike, bike ride, read a book, take in the breath-taking sunset from the upstairs balcony.

Large open plan kitchen joins the living area, modern all stainless fixtures & appliances with rolling island. Every possible amenity available in any modern kitchen such as dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, gas appliances, toaster oven, coffee makers.

Exterior Industrial all metal siding & roof. Home and garage with full length covered front porch with gas grill tables & chairs, outdoor ceiling fan, outdoor balcony above looks down on the covered porch.

Outdoors Several outdoor sitting areas beside the front porch including tile patio behind the garage, rock and brick patio that fronts the wash house and hot tub area.

Outdoor stepping stone patio behind the house in the woods for the back-to-nature seekers.

Old Haus Future Rustic authentic/period 100-year-old home across the property which is still under renovation. With covered front porch, with cozy rockers, table & chairs, small outdoor porch off the back of the master bedroom and off the side of the house with period antiques, clawfoot tub in the community bath with pedestal sink.

Quaint kitchen has the old highback porclain single lavatory. During renovation the house was found to have original hand mortised joints in some of the walls with wooden pins, and square nails. Also, hand hewn logs for floor joists under the house on the original 1st part of the dwelling upon construction.

 

RATES

Regular rates - $500.00 per night for whole house which is for 2 couples or more. $150 per night for individual couples.*

During the Antique Fair, twice a year - $400 per night for parties of 3-4. $150 per night for individual couples.*

*All bookings include hot tub privileges.

 

Included

Luxury of being totally secluded away from town, w/satellite tv, all amenities you could ask for and more, hot tub, plus a delicious Country Breakfast (with bacon, eggs, waffles, kolaches, biscuits, toast, milk, juice, coffee, tea, bottled water, and soda to choose from). 

House Rules will be there to provide you with a safe and comfortable stay.
